The standard mimosa is made with one part Champagne and two parts fresh orange juice. There are many different ways to put a twist on the classic mimosa and they are all delicious. You can use any type of juice in place of the orange juice, and all you have to remember is to keep the ratio intact. Always use one part Champagne and a total of two parts of any other juice you want to use.
The ratio of ingredients listed below will work perfectly for most Champagne flutes, which usually hold about 6 oz. (180 ml) of liquid. If your Champagne flutes hold more or less than 6 oz. (180 ml), you can adjust the ratio to accommodate the size of your glass.
Fruit juices that combine well with Champagne are: Apricot, Cranberry, Peach, Watermelon, Passion Fruit, Pomegranate and Pineapple
Servings: 1
  • 2 oz. (60 ml) Champagne (chilled)
  • 4 oz. (120 ml) fruit juice (chilled)
Pour the fruit juice of your choice into your Champagne flute.
  1. Add the Champagne slowly so that it doesn’t bubble over and dribble down the sides of your glass.

  2. 3
Stir gently with a spoon just long enough to mix the ingredients.

  3. 4
    Enjoy!

    Tips

    • You can add a dash of Grenadine for sweetness if you are making your mimosa with unsweetened or tart juice. It will also give your cocktail a pretty red hue. If you want a more colorful drink without the sweetness, you can add a few drops of food coloring to your mimosa.
    • If you want your Mimosa to be a little stronger, you can use fruit-flavored schnapps in place of the fruit juice. Or, to make your cocktail even more potent, you can use fruit-flavored vodka in place of the fruit juice.
